Hello everyone. I recently bought a dp5. I'm new at 3d printing and I have some issues to solve. Y tried to use my seller instructions to adjust my printer but it keeps doing me weird things. I tried leveling the extruder, I have a gap of a post it between it and the heated bed in all 4 corners and the center. When I hit auto home and my X axis is touching the end stop switch on that axis it works fine, and goes to the bottom left corner, but when I hit home in any other position of the x axis it never goes the right wait, just goes to the right side and keeps doing weird noises and hitting that side, then it goes down in Z and hit the bed until I turn off the printer. If I try to print in the "home" on the bottom left corner, it starts eventually (not always) but the print starts to travel on the x axis to the left (if you know what I mean) in a few words a calibration cube looks like a ladder. I don't know really what I'm doing wrong, so if you could help me and give me some steps to follow it would be great. Have fun and print a lot for me!

Welcome to the board Guillermo!
It looks like you are having similar problems to other members and myself when we were starting. Have a read over the other problems and use that as a guide.
Here's a few things I would try,
-Do hit <Control> "Restore Failsafe" before <Prepare> "Auto home"
If this produces the same results check that your end stop switches are working correctly. To do this I installed Pronterface which allows you to operate the printer from your computer and manually enter the G code to read the limit switches.

Hello Kioskfan!
I tried that, also I managed to read that I was missing a few gcode lines G28 and G29 to be accurate. Somebody said that those are for the auto leveling of the bed and should check all four corners before printing. Did that, and now my printer checks but only on the left corners (bottom and front) and it starts printing at the middle but of the left side of the bed. (The piece I get it's totally cool, I can't believe it). But... it's that ok? What if I print a larger piece and this is on the left side ? Other thing that I noticed is that my extruding carriage has to be always touching the X endstop switch, otherwise it always crashes with the opposite border of the X axis and goes down in Z. Seems that there are only a few more things to adjust and I'll be printing correctly 😁 Thanks for your help!!!

G29 should be running bed probe that checks 9 points before printing. I'd also go into your slicer settings and make sure you have the bed size properly measured. If your bed dimensions are wrong thn the print will be shifted to one side like you are describing.

Yesterday I managed myself to do some tests. Turns out that my seller (I bought my dp5 pre assembled) put the pins in the connector for the X axis driver upside down. I had to remove the cable pins, put them again on the right order, and magically worked. That was why the printer wasn't taking the right measurements with G29 code... I hope that this could help someone else with this problem... Now all I have left to do is play a little with the temperatures and speed to get smooth sides in my prints, got a few "bubbles" sometimes. Thanks to everyone!

Well done Guillermo! Now that you're part of the group you fixed it yourself. Hope you post your successes soon.

So I got the printer up and running. I did a test print and it worked. However, on my next attempt, the first layer adhered perfectly, but the second layer pulled the first off the bed. I imagine that the extruder parameters and speed of feeding the PLA or the layer step is incorrect. Anyone have the BEST parameters for printing or do I have to start figuring them out.

I bet it works. What print bed do you have? I just use the aluminum bed and put a piece of blue tape under my object and it has always worked for me. Are you using auto bed level? I do and find that the sensor gets moved easily and requires frequent adjustment which means I watch the first layer like a hawk.
