Here is the original file for the DP5 part cooling fan. If you wish to modify the design and submit it to your peers in the community, please feel free. If your design is loved by the community, and you wish to grant permission to DMS to use it for commercial purposes, your design will end up on the updated DP5, with your embossed logo on the part. www.thingiverse.com/thing:2405838/#files

Nice! I really like to design stuff😀 Could you ask them to provide step or iges files?

Nice! I really like to design stuff😀 Could you ask them to provide step or iges files? That's kinda the catch. The only format I could get from them so far is STL. I converted it to obj using 3d builder. I'll check and see if step is an output option there. I did catch a glimpse of their proposed cooling fan, and minus a few minor tweaks, it looks pretty sweet. I'm working on getting the STL. More details to come on that though.

If you convert it(as I did) it will still be fceted and its not easy to get reference geometry out of it. If there is a step file it will be very nice!. Its much harder to work with faceted faces than with the source files. As for the STLs, they have sent me STLs of a few parts, but either they souldn't usderstand me, or they just dont want to send steps (kinda obvious, but i don't think a cooling mount will be useful to anyone but the users)

Please send the files so we can fix our machines.

It's not that bad to have just a stl, i just measure the thing out and rebuild it in cad
