The plastic hinge pin in my Black & Decker Belgian Waffle Maker broke and I had fixed it with a nut and bolt and a bit of hose but I needed to take them out to clean the hinge from oil and pancake batter. The rubber had become swollen and needed to be cut and pulled out with pliers and a replacement fashioned. Since I'm fixing everything with the 3D printer why not see how long it takes to design and print a new piece. Here's a link to my Tinkercad page in case you have the same waffle iron, the files are there. New design was pretty easy to make in Tinkercad. Prints nicely. And here's the finished product. -Made two different length pins to get the best fit as there is some variation of the surface on the molded parts.

Just a pin? I think you underestimate the seriousness of the situation. No waffles? Why wake up in the morning?

I know really. I meant in reference to Ralf's "Mini-Me", that was awesome. Still can't get over how cool a 3D scanner is.
