Hi all. I needed to replace the hotend, and did so with the e3d v6, and then had issues with the PID controller and since the board wouldn't let me do an auto tune, I figured I'd try flashing the newest marlin on there. I made a mistake and didn't read a ton and tried to use Atom and PlatformIO and flashed an incorrect board type to the printer. The screen now just shows blue with no text on it. I read some more and using arduino and this thread: dp5.boards.net/thread/57/finally-marlin-on-dms-dp5 flashed 1.1.9 on to the board.
The screen still shows no text and I'm having issues controlling the printer with pronterface, very few things work as controlled. Thoughts?
So I've been doing well editing the config file, and trying to do so based off of the 1.0.0 flash that I found online. Can someone post the code they have for the LCD screen, I've enabled #define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER like how it is in the old file and uploaded it by itself, with other bits of defining code and nothing is showing up.
So I went back through this: dp5.boards.net/thread/57/finally-marlin-on-dms-dp5 and pulled values out of the configuration google file which yesterday I was having a pain downloading, but was able to get the endstop logic correct as well as the display settings. WE ARE GOOD TO GO, now to tune the PID
