Most bowdens cannot print flex filament because the hot end is too far away from the extruder. I say most because some of the 2.85mm bowdens like the ultimaker fo it pretty well. Direct drive has less trouble with pushing the wet noodle down the tube, and other new designs like the new titan v6 shorten the distance from the extruder to the hot end to print easier. I have printed nylon with the dot but never tried to print flex before or after my conversion to direct drive.
