I don't know what to call them but on the print I am making which is a large plate 3.5" x 5.5" x .25" Nema 34 Meccano Flat Mount there are fluffs of plastic appearing around the print. They are the size of small dust bunnies and aren't interfering with the print but they look curious and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen them? I've picked about ten off the print so far, it's a 5.5 hour print so I'm not watching it all the time but they seem to be forming around the nozzle and get released when they get large enough to roll between the fan shroud and the print. Anyone have an idea?
Hello kioskfan, just guessing, 1. maybe your nozzle is a bit leaking , and the material runs down the nozzle in very small amounts. 2. the tip (hole) of your nozzle is damaged wich could cause some kind of weird sideflow.
Leaking is the correct answer, Ralf wins the prize! First right answer is a prize of its own. Just kidding. Upon closer inspection (and after the print was finished) the nozzle was leaking and it could not easily be seen under the little insulator pads I had wrapped the block with. Got to keep an eye out for that.
