I had done the foam pad under the feet like 3dprintingmeathead suggested and was impressed with the results and then these quietener feet appeared on Thingiverse, and I thought they look good I might try them. So off to the the printer face I went, I printed 4 units and attached them directly to the printer base, the squash balls absorb vibrations and reduce resonance significantly, unlike the foam they will not compress over time, the printer floats on a cushion of air. I love how that looks, the noise does not bother me but I might just make those anyway! Interesting idea to use squash balls as dampers, got to remember that one. Thanks for posting.

Yeah, I used to do this with DJ turntables on stage, sandwich 5 squash balls between 2 12" square concrete paving slabs, turntable on top, zero transmission of shocks from the stage so no accidental scratching. This works so well, I have to keep checking the printer every now and then to make sure it's working. And as an aside those squash balls will work for dampening and suspension for all kinds of things.

Update, don't attach directly to the printer, use as the designer intended, attached to a base with the printer free standing on top. The dampening effect of the squash balls was creating vibration that was transferred to print head and bed, effecting quality.
